Poulette Bakeshop in Parker, Colorado a Semi-finalist for James Beard AWard

We’d like to give a big congratulations to local Parker business, Poulette Bakeshop for being named a semi-finalist for the prestigious James Beard Award in the Outstanding Pastry Chef + Baker category. Chefs and owners Alen Ramos and Carolyn Nuget opened Poulette Bakeshop in Parker in 2021. In 2022, the bakeshop was named the “Best Bakery in Denver” by Westword.

The James Beard Award is awarded by the James Beard Foundation each year and recognizes the very best in the culinary arts and food. The mission of the award is to “recognize exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system, as well as a demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity, community, sustainability, and a culture where all can thrive.” The awards were established in 1990. This year, 13 Colorado restaurants and chefs snagged a semi-finalist designation. The annual James Beard Awards Gala is held in June where winners will be announced.

Poulette Bakeshop serves up artisanal pastries and baked goods with pop-up pastries each day. According to the Bakeshop’s website, “Our many years of education allowed us the opportunity to create Michelin star style pastry and confections in a large-scale environment. The techniques we use at Poulette Bakeshop have been a specialty of the French patisserie for hundreds of years and are difficult to master. We can’t wait to bring European and American style pastries, treats, loaves of bread and tasty food made from locally sourced ingredients to Parker.”

Poulette Bakeshop can be found at 19585 Hess Rd #107, Parker, CO 80134. They are open every Wednesday to Saturday from 8am-2pm.
