Parker Economic Development Launches Business Improvement Grant (BIG)
PARKER, CO — Parker Economic Development has launched the Business Improvement Grant (BIG), a new initiative aimed at supporting the growth and sustainability of small businesses throughout the Town of Parker. The BIG program is designed to help businesses improve their physical spaces and purchase key equipment through a dollar-for-dollar reimbursement grant.
The program offers up to $5,000 in matching funds for single-tenant properties and up to $15,000 for multi-tenant locations. Funds may be used for a wide range of one-time capital improvements, including storefront upgrades, interior renovations, signage, lighting, HVAC improvements, and eligible equipment purchases. Applications are accepted year-round until funds are exhausted, with annual replenishment each January.
“The BIG program will help our local business owners make impactful changes that enhance their operations and our community as a whole,” said Weldy Feazell, Parker Economic Development Director. “Whether it’s upgrading a storefront, improving interior spaces, or purchasing critical equipment, we’re excited to offer this new resource for Parker businesses.”
To be eligible, businesses must be located within Parker town limits and employ 25 or fewer people. Applicants must hold a valid Town of Parker business or sales tax license for at least 12 months (for exterior improvements) or 24 months (for interior improvements), be current on all tax obligations, and have no outstanding code violations. Home-based businesses may apply for equipment-related grants. All projects must be approved in advance and completed within the same calendar year to receive reimbursement.
