A TASTE OF SOMETHING GREAT:
PURGATORY CELLARS
Address:
18921 Plaza Dr #100, Parker Co 80134
Hours:
Mon-Thu: 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. | Fri-Sat: 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. | Sun : 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
When you first walk into Purgatory Cellars in Parker, a lot of things might catch your eye. Maybe it’s the fireplace mantel, lined with wine bottles draped in medals from the various wines Purgatory has received awards for. Or it could be the large historic wine press in the back corner. More likely, it’s the smiling faces of owners Marko Copic and Ivanka Copic, whose passion for their product is clear the moment you open the door. If it’s a beautiful Colorado day, you could take your wine with a side of sunshine, enjoying the back patio that Purgatory has created with comfortable seating and pergolas. The project was completed thanks to the Facade and Landscape Improvement Program (FLIP) from Parker’s Urban Renewal Authority, P3. The FLIP program provided the matching funds to create this outdoor space.
“Parker is trying to be business-friendly, and we really appreciate it, and all the help and everything that we get from town. It's really helpful” - Marko Copic
Along with a great atmosphere, Purgatory boasts plenty of award-winning wines. Their grapes are primarily sourced from Colorado and made in a style reflecting how wine was originally stored and fermented - in huge clay pots. We recommend stopping in for a good story, community, and of course, a glass of something great.

SPACE TO CREATE: COMMUNITY MUD
Opening as spring becomes summer, Community Mud is a new space that wants to inspire people to come together and create while harboring an environment of learning and growth. The new space welcomes both beginner and experienced potters alike to hone their skills, take classes, and become a part of the Parker Arts community.
“I think the Parker Arts community is growing. I've seen several businesses open just since I moved here two years ago, and it's exciting to see people be excited about those businesses and about the possibility of supporting them or creating new ones.”
- Kaylee Eichholz, Owner of Community Mud
On creating the space, Kaylee remarks, “We really want to provide a place to be mindful, and you can really put down your phone and focus on clay for hours, and the time just flies.” The new space sits on the corner of Parker and Hess. Kaylee notes the new businesses popping up in this area, including Fiction Brewing Company and Wolf Peach, creating a lot of excitement and fun activity.
